Opened in 1991 by HM The Queen, we've had the pleasure of hosting a wide variety of events. From our first the British Small Animal Vetenary Association Congress to the most recent party political conferences, we’ve been constantly ready to deliver successful events at short notice. Just one year after opening, we hosted the Emergency European Summit with only 21 days’ notice.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent, award-winning facilities and services for conferences, meetings, banquets, seminars and other events. We've the capacity to hold over 250 events a year and now welcome over 250,000 visitors annually.
Located in Birmingham, W Midlands, in the heart of the UK around 100 miles from London, we’re proud to be part of The NEC Group, which includes The NEC, the LG Arena and The NIA. As a group, we believe we're one amazing team.
The NIA is situated in Birmingham city centre; its central location ensures it is at the hub of the UK motorway network. Visitors from any direction can travel to The NIA using the following motorways - M1, M5, M6, M6 Toll, M40 and M42.
The NIA is signposted on motorways and major roads and is marked on most maps. If you decide to travel by car, we recommend that you allow plenty of time for your journey.
Birmingham New Street Station is a short journey of approximately 10-15 minutes from Birmingham International Station.
Birmingham International Airport (BHX) is located adjacent to Birmingham International Station. Travellers can access the city centre and The ICC quickly and conveniently by train or road.
