Acrivet is known worldwide as a trusted leader in developing, manufacturing, and providing innovative products designed specifically for Veterinary Ophthalmologists.
During 2004 a veterinary division was established within Acri.Tec GmbH to develop a new portfolio of veterinary ophthalmic products. By 2005 many of the species adapted products such as the foldable acrylic intraocular lenses for dogs and cats, bandage lenses, viscoelastics and a portable ERG system were being sold and used worldwide. In late 2007 Carl Zeiss GmbH purchased Acri.Tec AG, however the veterinary divisions were not sold and became part of a new company S & V Technologies. At that time the name was changed to Acrivet.
Today Acrivet continues to grow and expand its portfolio focusing on providing products that improve the quality of treatments the Veterinary Ophthalmologists are able to give to their clients of all sizes. Many new products are being developed with the help and co-operation of Universities, and leading Ophthalmologists. New products now include the first foldable intraocular lenses for horses, Phacoemulsification systems, and microsurgical instruments specifically for animal use, just to name a few.
Acrivet is headquartered in Hennigsdorf/Berlin Germany and has a US subsidiary in Salt Lake City, Utah to serve their customers in all parts of the world.
